All things have an interface. Shaping interfaces is shaping the character of things. The brand is what transports the character of things. When looking at McDonalds, iPod, Nintendo DS it becomes quite obvious that the interface is the brand.
From: The Interface of a Cheeseburger. A vigorous article which teaches you that branding hasn’t necessarily to be pretty, but strong.

Lovefilm.com created this Ultimate Film Desktop Wallpaper to celebrate the 100th edition of their newsletter. The wallpaper is packed full of 100 cryptic film titles for you to find. Think you’ve found them all?
I finally uploaded my new blog theme which I was working on the last couple of days. I’ve called it Gloss and Stripes — it’s obvious why. The design now matches the Corporate Identity of freshlabs while still allowing a few modifications in style. The recent theme was more an experiment with a retro color palette — the complete opposite of what the name freshlabs should actually imply, hence this update.
The next days I will finish the changes in detail and give the archives-section a general cleanup — plus adding a list of all recent WordPress themes (Looking forward to release another public theme of maybe one or two of them soon).
Until then…I hope you like the new, more fresh design and that it makes it more comfortable for you to browse this site.

Also check out the fantastic set series of Worn- and Graffiti brushes:

I honestly must admit that these sets of PS brushes are the best I’ve ever seen available for free. Not to mention that they are all suitable for print design as well. Thank you so much for sharing!
RT @dertimbo Hi-Res Photshop Brushes 2The freshlabs project PG232 recently experienced more publicity than ever. After being developed in Copenhagen and exhibited at three events in Germany, there are now first public videos at YouTube and Google Video. Plus it got an honorable mention on the Techeblog.

This is a script I used in my blog now for some months. As I stumbled upon the article by Ian Selby, Ajax Activity Indicators: Make them global and unobtrusive, I thought I should write an article about my method as well.
