Readers now have the option to track a comment conversation with cocomment. Just click on the bar below a comment-form to “watch” a conversation of specific articles.

This is a function built in the latest version of K2 – 0.9.1.

There are also some bugs fixed now with the Ajax commenting system.

Indicating loading activity has become a serious topic since Ajax-driven functionality on websites has emerged throughout the Internet.

Der Ajax Language Switcher for Basic Bilingual ist ein Plugin für WordPress mit installiertem Sprach-Plugin BasicBilingual. ALSBB ermöglicht ein Umschalten zwischen 2 Sprachen in denen ein Artikel verfasst wurde (definiert durch BasicBilingual). Der Inhalt eines Blog-Eintrags wird dynamisch mit Ajax ausgetauscht und funktioniert auch wenn JavaScript deaktiviert ist.

Eine neue JavaScript-Bibliothek names MochiKit kommt mit einschlägigen Anpreisungen daher: MochiKit makes JavaScript suck less.

MochiKit is a highly documented and well tested, suite of JavaScript libraries that will help you get shit done, fast.

Die Bibliothek umfasst Werkzeuge zur Stringformatierung, Iteration, Ajax, ein Date/Time-Objekt und ein vielversprechendes Logging- und Debug-Modul.

Ausserdem lassen sich visuelle Effekte implementieren, Tabellen sortieren, das DOM manipulieren, und und und… Sehr nett.

Nach Gmail und Froogle gibt’s nun auch ein weiteres ‘Beta-Projekt’:
Google suggest – eine Art Auto-Complete für Suchbegriffe. In Realtime werden beim Tippen passende Suchbegriffe gleich mit der Trefferzahl angezeigt.

Das die Treffer gleich angezeigt werden finde ich ganz sinnvoll; so kann man gleich bestimmte Kombinationen anwählen, die man sonst in 2-4 Such-Verfeinerungen ohnehin erreichen würde.

Einfach mal ausprobieren!
