Ned Batchelder on branching in Subversion: He explains how to create a branch and how to merge it with the trunk later on. You’ll also learn the difference between a Fixes Branch and a Feature Branch as well as some handy command line snippets. [#].
RT @dertimbo Branching with Subversion: Quick StartThese websites were the most helpful I came across when I wanted to set up my virtual private network (VPN) with the IPCop, a Linux-based open source firewall.
The explanations on all sites are good to understand — you don’t necessarily need to have a degree in network administration to walk through them (even if you’re using IPCop, you somehow are).
- IPCop-Open VPN HowTo at thinkhole.org
- For establishing a VPN with the Zerina OpenVPN Extension. VPN via the RED interface.
- IPCop VPN with Mac OS X at taupehat.com
- Setup a VPN on OS X with IPSecuritas via the BLUE OR RED interface.
- All about IPCop-VPNs at Ecki’s Place (German)
- With X.509/PSK certificate on the BLUE or RED interface and Dead-Peer-Detection.
Especially the second one was really useful to safely connect my local machines and the Internet from my PowerBook via a wireless connection (routing through the blue IPCop interface with an IPSec tunnel)
Thought they could be useful to anybody who’s struggling with a VPN/IPSec setup.
RT @dertimbo Tutorials for setting up a VPN with IPCopReaders now have the option to track a comment conversation with cocomment. Just click on the bar below a comment-form to “watch” a conversation of specific articles.
This is a function built in the latest version of K2 – 0.9.1.
There are also some bugs fixed now with the Ajax commenting system.

Usability is very important – especially when the user has to take the challenge of filling in a web-form. Form labels give textual information as well as an interactive association. Unfortunately, Safari and Internet Explorer don’t spend much attention to that linkage. This article presents a script that adds click functionality to all form labels on a website for Safari and Internet Explorer.
