Somehow people are wondering what Eon8, X13600, diffuse Hex-Codes, military referrers as well as a countdown until June, 1st at midnight are all about.
A bunch of users say it’s a timer for the apocalypse or a cyber-terroristic attack (e.g. worldwide virus deployment) while more realistic people think it’s a viral marketing campaign.
To me it looks like the pre-launch of a new darksided command-and-conquer-like computer-game/movie thing.
UPDATE: The truth is revealed. The purpose of Eon8 was to determine the reactions of the internet public to lack of information. And it was all initiated by a 23-year old web designer from Florida.
Read the whole story here (Mirror). Crazy idea, though.
Once implemented and fine tuned for “normal user” use, this will bring 2.50 and 2.60 Firmware up to the same homebrew capability that 1.50 PSP owners enjoy with FULL kernel mode access – although Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories will still be required, just like with eLoader.
RT @dertimbo PSP: 2.60 Firmware Exploit Found. Kernel access!Just in this moment, the new version of digg is uploaded to the servers, currently showing this waiting screen and playing “The Final Countdown”:
I am really looking forward to the features of the new version 3. A new chapter of Internet-history is written right now. Well, sort of :)
RT @dertimbo Digg v3 is comingAs Sonic the Hedgehog turned 15 yesterday, why not give a tribute to this videogame from the 90′s by glueing together this papercraft of the first level, the Green Hill Zone.
There is now a rating system included at the bottom of every post. With that option you can give a one-click feedback about how much you liked a post or if an article was worth the read.
The new option is realised with the help of WP-PostRatings, a WordPress plugin coded by Lester Chan (There are a lot of nice, useful plugins on his site by the way).
Update: The post-rating function in this blog is discarded for now.
