Stu Nicholls created a cute interactive animation based on CSS.
This is more a proof of concept than a proper CSS example because there is actually ‘emtpy’ markup that is styled. Nevertheless, Stu always comes out with remarkable CSS experiments; which is cool.
Be sure to also check out his other CSS animations.
RT @dertimbo Google releases SketchupThe best Open Source Software for 2006 has been chosen with the first annual Sourceforge Community Choice Awards. The list of winners brings up very powerful and useful tools.
My favorite winners are…

- IPCop Firewall (Security – 3rd place)
- phpMyAdmin (SysAdmin – 1st place)
- and TightVNC (SysAdmin – 2nd place).
Really sweet.
RT @dertimbo SourceForge’s Best Open Source SoftwareI just signed up for the Rough Underbelly Task Management because it looks quite interesting and the name sounds crazy.
It seems like a graph is created from your tasks over the time that should help you to improve your task-management abilites at the end of a project or month.
This would be another web-service where I have to force myself to really use it. I also have an account for Ta-Da List which I registered to monitor a small project with a colleague. But rarely use it now.
Are there any web-based project-management tools by my appreciated readership? (If you’re using any. And if not: Why?). Let me know.

Hope you find some gems you don’t know yet in the following lists.
This is also my opportunity to say Happy 30th Birthday, Apple!
