…Myself

Hello fellow visitor! My name is Tim Isenheim and I’m a designer and web developer from Hamburg, Germany.

When developing, I’m a CakePHP expert, experienced with common JavaScript libraries and eager to solve tricky tasks. I’m also a volunteer firefighter, a longtime guitar player, a dedicated follower of WordPress and worshipper of Apple Computers. I also run my own media agency, freshlabs. Have a look at our website if you’re interested. We work for international customers, too.

…this Publication

All pages are based on the wonderful publishing system WordPress.
The theme I’m running uses code from Michael Heilemann’s K2 (including Live Commenting and Livesearch). For the comment preview mechanism I’m using the LiveCommentPreview plugin.

Topics in this blog cover Modern Webdesign, Computer Code (JavaScript, PHP, CSS, XHTML), Open Source, WordPress, Apple Computer, music reviews and personal rants and thoughts.

…The bi-lingual blog

Besides german I’m writing articles in english from time to time. In this case I intend to write about a topic whose audience might be more international (e.g. computer code is a universal language, every programmer and developer understands english, ergo: I write in english when I’m talking about code). Moreover I can keep my english vocabulary up-to-date.
For blogging in two languages I’m using the WordPress plugin BasicBilingual and a custom made JavaScript based language switcher.
